The Depot

The Depot is Akron's 624-bed, four-story student housing community is on the former site of the Akron Beacon Journal newspaper sorting and storage facility. Historic brackets were saved from the turn of the century building and now frame the fireplace in the game room. The building is reminiscent of the industrial age with reclaimed wooden stairs, indirect lighting in metal raceways and exposed concrete.

The new building features a resort-style heated pool with an outdoor bar and kitchen, study lounges, on-site concierge, modern clubroom, on-site mini-market, indoor gas fireplace, game room, as well as a large group fitness classroom and state-of-the-art fitness facility.
